Guides WA focus on improving utilisation of assets

New software enables Guides WA  to better manage existing assets, using ClubAssets.com’s online asset sharing solution

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: 2 April, 2007

PERTH, AUSTRALIA –
Guides WA announced its selection of a new online asset management and sharing solution for management of their extensive asset base, consisting of over 5,000 items held at 400+ sites in Western Australia.

In announcing the choice, Guides WA Finance Manager Eugenie Stockman, explained, “We were looking for a flexible package with lots of potential for adaptation down the track. The asset sharing system developed by ClubAssets delivered us a large capacity, technical program which will serve us well into the future.”

“As you might expect from an established and active organization, Guides WA has an extensive set of state-wide assets, including buildings and vehicles, which need to be registered and tracked. As well, our resources include training programs, skill sets and training documentation, memberships and a variety of equipment which is used by thousands across the state, in metro and regional areas. We needed a single rigorous program to manage these assets.”

“ClubAssets’ package allows internet based access for all our members and will provide continuity of recording for insurance and maintenance purposes. This will be helpful for our forward planning and budgeting and will also provide more flexibility with our current assets. Ultimately our administration workload will be reduced.”

The ClubAssets.com solution being implemented includes 24/7 online access via standard browser functionality with no software installation required, invitation only based network membership, sophisticated reporting capability, email alerting for equipment return reminders, warranty expiry and scheduled maintenance activity. At the same time it delivers most of the benefits of a standard asset register, including purchase information, serial numbers and details, across multiple users and locations.

“The asset sharing software will support planning and maintenance programs and will enable sharing of resources amongst Guides, with an optional tool for lending resources to community organisations such as schools, local government and community groups. Better use of our resources means better economics and reduced impact on our environment. All in all, a sustainable solution.”

Andrew Venn, Director, CYNF Pty. Ltd. said: “There are many groups who would find this package useful and timesaving, including schools, hospitals, volunteer based agencies. The ClubAssets.com application provides organizations with an edge in the way that they can use assets more effectively and provides opportunities for asset sharing for the benefit of all.”
