Simplify data entry

Data entry of new assets can be time consuming. There are quite a few fields that can be filled out. It would be nice if this was simplified.
We are currently looking into ways to improve this. The first of these is the creation of a data upload from a spreadsheet. This would enable people to enter the details offline into a spreadsheet and upload at their convenience.
There is a long list of fields that can be entered in relation to an asset, it really depends upon the organisation as to how many of these items need to be completed. We have provided them all on the form - it does not mean that all of them need to be completed.
We will be looking at enabling a shrinking / expanding list of fields to make this screen more user-friendly.
